a.m Sunday morning.
What exactly does a cinematographer normally do on a set?
On
the sets a cinematographer is in an envious position.
The image of a man peering into a huge, camera, moving up, down and
sideways with it are images that conjure up some fantasy or images
from a picture book. There is always an air of mystery around a cameraman.
A set is filled with different people and their different opinions.People
who believe that a scene could have been enacted in a certain way,
a shot taken from a certain angle; multiple belief systems co-exist
on a set.
I am always thinking in strange locations. I know the hostility of
the snow, I have seen the fury of the rains and have entered a sunset.
Cinematographers usually wait for nature to clear or wax up in a certain
way.
