I strongly believe that when a student passes out from an institute
or completes formal training he still lives with the hangover of being
a cinematographer, a creative artist, a thinking person...
Some get a break right away. Some struggle.Their fixations with all
sorts of lighting techniques and gizmos tend to formulate them as
soon as work comes in, thus taking away from them basic principles
of simple filming; eventually hindering and dwarfing natural growth.
Take a great businessman for instance who is respected for his 22
BMW's and his troopers.
Take that away and he loses his respect. Where was his identity, his
individuality?
Worth
should be built on strong foundation. Originality is your birthright,
no one can take that away.
